Overview
Pregnenolone is a natural steroid hormone produced in the body from cholesterol. Pregnenolone has been linked with positive support of the immune system, mood and memory.
Produced by the adrenal glands in the body, pregnenolone is a direct precursor of both DHEA and progesterone. Pregnenolone is the building block for all other steroid hormones. It may also have anti-stress benefits.
Pregnenolone levels dramatically drop after age 30. Research indicates that restoration of pregnenolone to levels of healthy young adults may have a positive effect on memory, mood and energy.
Description
Recommended Use: Adults: take 1/2 to 1 tablet daily as directed by a physician ONLY! (May be taken sublingually by allowing tablet to dissolve in mouth or with water or juice.) Each sublingual tablet contains:
- Pregnenolone 25 mg
- Other Ingredients: mannitol, cellulose, silica and vegetable stearate.
- Contains NO: yeast, wheat, gluten, soy protein, milk/dairy, corn, sodium, sugar, starch, artificial coloring, preservatives or flavoring.
Warning: NOT TO BE TAKEN BY INDIVIDUALS UNDER THE AGE OF 18. DO NOT USE IF PREGNANT OR LACTATING. Consult a physician or licensed qualified healthcare professional before using this product if you have or have a family history of breast cancer, uterine cancer, prostate cancer or enlargement, heart disease, low HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol), or if you are using any other dietary supplement, prescription drug, or over-the-counter drug. Do not exceed the recommended serving. Exceeding the recommended serving may cause serious adverse side effects. If you are at risk for or have prostate, breast, uterine or ovarian cancer you should not use this product. If you are pregnant, nursing or taking any prescription medication, especially other hormones or MAOIs (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors) consult with your physician before using this product. Possible side effects include changes in liver function, acne, hair loss, hair growth on face (women), aggressiveness, irritability, and increased levels of estrogen.
